What are your shipping and handling policies? TOP
Orders over $75 ship for free. You will never be charged a handling or processing fee. Shipping is figured and applied prior to checking out and only if 'shipping' is selected at checkout. Every attempt is made to have your order processed and shipped in a timely manner. You will be emailed a tracking number as soon as your order is shipped. Almost all orders are shipped via Fed Ex or USPS Priority (whichever is most cost efficient). The only deviation from this would be a special order shipped to an APO address. If you'd like your order shipped to a U.S. Military service-member, please contact me prior to ordering. I offer deep, deep discounts in support of our troops and I'll make special arrangements to have the box shipped to an APO address. If there is any way I can make a service member's day better by sending them some body butter or lotion, etc., I want to do my part.
Will you ship to an APO address? TOP
Absolutely! Please contact me before placing your order, as I will deeply discount any item shipped to Military personnel who are deployed.
What are your ordering policies? TOP
There is no minimum order amount, although it's encouraged to buy at least 3 of everything. I do ask that when you submit your order, you are stating that you have read and agree to all of Me First Candle & Body Work's policies. If your fragrance selection simply will not be available, I will email you with the option of choosing another scent or canceling your order. If your order can not be completed within 4 business days, I will email you with the option of a discount or cancellation of your order. I strive to achieve perfect customer satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied in any way, I encourage you to contact me so that we may reach a resolution.

What payment options are offered? TOP
Secure online ordering is offered through Pay Pal. Setting up an account with Pay Pal is not necessary for ordering, and they accept all major credit cards as well as online checks. I strongly believe that confidential information should remain confidential. Rest assured that any personal information you share with Me First Candles & Body Works will only be used as necessary for the processing of your order. Absolutely none of your information will ever be shared, sold or utilized in a manner not authorized by you.
What are your return policies? TOP
Any errors, damaged or incomplete orders should be reported to me within 2 days of receipt of your order. Please do not discard any portion of your order if it was damaged in transit, as it may be necessary to have the items returned to me. Unfortunately, if the items and original packaging aren't available it won't be possible to offer a reimbursement or replacement. If original packaging is available, any items that were damaged in transit will be replaced, free of charge, by an item of the same specifications as the original order if stock allows. If the original item can not be replaced in a timely fashion, you will have the option of choosing a like item or receiving a refund. I will make every effort to ensure your order is filled and packed correctly. If your order isn't complete, I will expedite any missing items to you at my expense.
I am only able to guarantee my products against performance or physical defects. I have strict testing guidelines and work very hard to ensure that every item I offer is free from defect. However, should you receive an item that appears defective, I must be contacted immediately upon your receipt of the item or when defect is first found. I will ask for the item to be returned to me exactly as you received it, including original packaging. I will email you with details of return shipping. Upon my receipt of the item(s), you will be offered either a replacement or reimbursement at your discretion.
Do you offer delivery? TOP
I am based in Fayetteville, North Carolina and am happy to offer delivery to the surrounding communities. I also travel to the Cary, NC area frequently and offer delivery to that area as well.
Do you offer bulk discounts or wholesale? TOP
Indeed I do. Free shipping is always offered on purchases of $75.00 or more. For bulk orders or wholesale questions, I ask that you contact me for more information.
The fragrance I want isn't offered. Is it possible to make special requests? TOP
This is a tough question to answer. I don't offer every fragrance I've successfully tested. If I have already tested the fragrance you're requesting, it may be possible to honor a special order. However, many hours are spent testing a new fragrance before I'm comfortable offering it for sale and please be aware that it may be impossible to fulfill your request in a timely manner.
Why are your candles only offered with no color? TOP
There are positives and negatives to any wax used in the making of candles. One of the negatives about soy wax is achieving rich, beautiful colors without adding large quantities of dye or pigment. I also want to keep my candles as natural as possible, without unnecessary additives. If you'd really prefer a dyed candle, please contact me to see what options are available.
Do the wicks have lead? TOP
Never. It is hard to find a candle produced in the United States that has lead in the wick. You may notice that the wicks I use curl as they burn. Rest assured that this is the way they are supposed to burn, and that I've spent many, many hours researching and testing which wicks properly work for each candle.
What does Premium Proprietary Soy Bled Wax mean? TOP
I have found, in my years of testing, that straight soy wax could not satisfy enough of my requirements for a terrific candle. I have tweaked and researched and tested until I achieved a wax blend that I find amazing. I remained true to my love of soy wax, I just took it and made it better. The fruits of my labor resulted in a wax that has an ability to be amazingly fragrant and maximize the slower-burning characteristic of soy wax.
What makes a candle GREAT? TOP
From top to bottom, here's what I think makes a candle great...
1. an appropriate container
2. a wick that has been tested and sized correctly, perfectly centered in the jar so as to prevent excess heat on one side of the container.
3. carefully poured containers that are neither under- nor over-filled.
4. wax that is poured correctly, and doesn't leave air pockets when cooled.
5. true-to-name fragrances both when burning and when cool that are strong, but not overpowering.
6. testing, again, to create a candle that has staying power and will last as long as possible.
7. no sooting on container when burned correctly.
8. fragrance that is perfectly mixed to last until the last burning of the candle.
